Trinity College Drama Exams start in Nairobi
Helen O'Grady Nairobi is has become the first Examination Centre in Kenya to offer the world-famous Trinity College, London, examinations in Speech and Drama. T
This is massive news for Kenya and will give children and adults and international qualification in performance. Trinity College London is a leading international examinations board since 1877, with establishments in 60 countries. It programme along the the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy's curriculum provides a structured syllabus to improving communication skills and performance of children.
The graded exams are fully accredited in the UK and recognised internationally in many other countries. These exams give UCAS points for those applying to UK-based universities
The Helen O'Grady Trinity syllabus is simple and practical. Children are introduced to individual and group acting and improvisation skills though the Academy's internatoinal programme. For those pursing the examinations, additional prose, poetry and script work is added according to their Grade and ability.
All work is assessed by an examiner from Trinity College, and students receive certificates based on their achievement.
Children and adults will be assessed and placed in the a Grade class based on their ability and age.
Grades 1 to 3 typically relate to work at a standard comparable to that of primary schools and the initial years of secondary schools, depending on the child.
Grades 4 to 5 typically relate to work at a standard comparable to that of secondary schools by students aged approximately 12–15 years.
Grades 6–8 typically relate to work at a standard comparable to that of secondary schools by students aged approximately 15–18.
All successful candidates in the Grade and Certificate examinations receive Trinity College London certificates showing their level of achievement as Pass, Merit or Distinction
Trinity College London examinations are known throughout the world, and are officially recognised by educational authorities in many countries. The graded examinations are accredited by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in England, and its respective partners in Wales and Northern Ireland. This Ceritification also give UCAS points for entry into University.
